The legendary rock band America will be appearing at The Granada as part of their Grand Opening Preview Season on Sunday, April 6th 2008, at 7:30pm for this exclusive area performance.  The beautiful and recently renovated landmark theatre, The Granada, is the perfect match for this classic rock band whose timeless music brings instant recall to an historic past.

Just hearing America’s signature harmonizing songs strikes an emotional chord which brings us back to a cherished era.  The world discovered America in 1972, when a nameless horse began its gallop across the international airwaves. More hits like “I Need You,” “Ventura Highway,” “Lonely People,” and of course “Sister Golden Hair” continued the journey.

In addition Natalie Cole (A Jacalyn Kane production co-presents) kicks off seven dynamic events in The Granada “Preview Seven,” a subscription series that marks the return of live performance at the treasured Santa Barbara entertainment venue in more than five years. The Granada, which will reopen in March, 2008 after a three-year restoration, recently announced its complete lineup of seventeen “Preview Season” events, a short season from March to May showcasing an array of performing arts genres.

The Granada, a landmark theatre located in Santa Barbara, CA, was originally opened in 1924, and has been fully restored to premier standards with world-class sound, technology and aesthetics.  The newly restored theatre serves as an anchor for the central city redevelopment project, and will become a regional center for cultural and artistic activity.
